An Improvised Musical
Hell Yeah! is one of New York City’s best musicals—and it’s a completely new experience every single time. Based on a suggestion provided by YOU, the audience, our team of professional actors and musicians will create an entire musical from scratch, right in front of your very eyes. Every line, lyric, move, and melody will be made up live on stage.
Do trust, NOTHING from the ‘typical’ musical experience will be spared! From heartbreaking ballads to electric dance numbers, from lovable protagonists to methodical villains to dramatic reveals that surprise us as much as they surprise you, this one-night-only experience will have you wanting to return again and again. Heck, it might even make you say, oh I don’t know… “HELL YEAH!”
Featuring a NEW CAST, “Hell Yeah! An Improvised Musical” is hitting 2026 with a bang! We will be performing in New York and across the country, bringing our improvised musical to theaters and festivals of all shapes and sizes. About Us
Hell Yeah! was founded in 2021 by Maria Nally and PJ Nally with the goal of creating a professional improvised show that pushes the artistic boundaries of improvised musical theater.
Our first original production, Hell Yeah! An Improvised Musical, has found grand success, performing for sold out crowds in our home town of New York City and beyond. Over the years, the production has gotten sharper, the cast has gotten grander, and, most importantly, we continue to have a hell of a time performing it.
In 2025, we created our first Off-Broadway show, The Others of Oz, which told the unwritten, fully-improvised backstories of the characters in the Wizard of Oz universe—everyone but a certain wicked witch, who has managed to find some time in the limelight without our assistance.
In March of 2026, we launched Alas! The Improvised Works of William Shakespeare, a podcast in which we create fully improvised Shakespearean plays, complete with big characters, twisting plots, and very necessary soliloquies. We collaborate with the extraordinary performer and producer Drew Robinson on this one. Some say it’s one of humanity's greatest examples of recorded joy (and some would be right!). And in May of 2026, we gained five fabulous new cast members, one wonderful new director, and an amazing new musical director. And all of us are ready to make it big.
